We decided to do things differently in 2023.

It’s our first year of marriage and we’ve been focused on our personal and professional goals.

Focusing on what we want to achieve in the future has meant that we’ve been less intentional about fully experiencing and enjoying the now.

So we chose “experiences” as our word for this year.

It’s only March and as we approach our Q1 check in, I’d say we are on track and on target.

Having a healthy, loving, and successful marriage, partnership and friendship is an intentional decision and it feels amazing to know we’ve chosen to do this together.

Here’s to all the other couples out there who are on a similar journey.

I’m m in my #CozyGirl era so if it don’t promote peace in my life right now then it gots to go.

I recently went to Punta Cana for the first time last month and I took time to rest, rejuvenate, and create new experiences with my hubby.

It was the best 5 days and I can’t wait to plan our next adventure.

It also reminds me of how blessed I am to even have the opportunity to “choose” a peaceful life.

There are times when life feels hard and I begin to focus too much on what I don’t have that I completely forget all that I do have.

All the opportunities that are available to me. All the love I have in my life.

So, I’m intentionally shifting my energy and thoughts and will remind myself to stay grateful for this life I get blessed to live. ❤️
